The Mobile Os Battle Is Not Over Yet

LAS VEGAS — Mobile TV on the iPhone? Why not? We’re not sure where this Depression 2.0, Vegas-as-ghost town thing came from. Sure, our hotel was dirt cheap, and this town’s notorious pay-for-your-friends mentality is softening. People were actually get nice here without the mandatory tip, and we don’t even want to think about what $150 would buy in terms of the twisted “service economy” that goes on here at night. But for road-weary reporters like us who have battled (and come to love) this arid place, the idea fishing has never been as so good. This week’s National Association of Broadcasters Show couldn’t be simpler to cover. Just walk in the front door and look around.

Another great way to maximize your time is to analyze your inefficiencies. By saying this I mean how much time do you spend doing simple tasks through your day or night when working on app developers toronto? You may spend 30 seconds 10 times a day typing in your email password or any other password for that matter. That is 5 minutes each day and 30 hours after a year all spent on typing in an email password!

You iPad app needs to be able to compete with thousands of other apps on the iTunes store. This is why the iPad application development process should be efficient and be able to build a tablet app that is unique and instantly appeals to your target audience. If the app is unable to appeal to the user, it fails. When your target users come across your app and they feel that it’s ordinary and doesn’t offer them anything new, they aren’t going to download it.

Apple has also submitted a patent for a special way of interacting with the iPhone’s digital camera. The system will based on how users swipe their fingers across the lens on the back. This could lead to an easy way of quickly going through voicemail messages while holding your iPhone next to your ear. But the possibilities don’t stop there. There are many more uses we haven’t even thought of yet.

We know it’s not because Android users choose “the web” over apps. iOS conintues to dominate in web browsing. Plus, 10 billion app downloads — from the sanctioned Android app market — is a huge number. That should be able to stand on its own as a viable monetization opportunity. But it does not.

Get a lot of tongues wagging about your app before you release it and you can count on a strong start after launch. But all the promotion that you do through social media and blog posting needs to be pertinent. Writing lots of blogs on lifestyle blogs won’t be very useful if you are creating a business app. Similarly, promoting a games or entertainment app on LinkedIn may not be a smart idea: Facebook and Twitter would be more useful in such a case.

And the real mover here? Apple. Our take is if the mobile DTV people can get Apple to stick one of these chips in their iPhones and then create a slick commercial for it, not only could this be a boon for local television, it would put a fresh stake in the interactive TV sands. The swirling iPhone app development market could revolutionize digital television. Or at least our perception of it.
